1.) Zusammenfassung / Summary of CoSo Plenum 13.11.2024
|
Am 13. November 2024 fand das CoSo-Plenum mit Teilnehmenden von „Hilfe für Jungs“ (Subway, Berliner Jungs) und „Queer durch Berlin“ (queerfeministische Jugendgruppe) statt. Themen waren unter anderem das Konzept des „nordischen Modells“ und die politische Entwicklung in Deutschland. Ein Workshop mit dem Titel „Sexarbeitende schreiben das Gesetzt“ wird von bufaS finanziert und ist am 15.11.2024 gestartet. Der Workshop soll praktische Forderungen ausarbeiten und wird hybrid angeboten. Weitere Punkte umfassten Vorschläge zur besseren Zugänglichkeit der CoSo-Treffen und mögliche Strategien, die Arbeit von Beratungsstellen trotz politischer Herausforderungen zu sichern.

On November 13, 2024, the CoSo Plenum took place with participants from “Hilfe für Jungs” (Subway, Berliner Jungs) and “Queer durch Berlin” (queer feminist youth group). Topics included the "Nordic Model" concept and its political development in Germany. A workshop titled "Sex workers write the Law" is funded by bufaS and and started on 15.11.2024. It aims to develop actionable demands and will be offered in a hybrid format. Other discussions included suggestions for making CoSo-Plenary meetings more accessible and strategies to support advisory services in the face of political challenges.

The next plenum will take place on December 11, 2024, at SMART - Sex Workers only.

2.) 4.11. Sexarbeitende schreiben das Gesetz / Sex workers write their own law
Wir schreiben unser eigenes Gesetz
Kriminalisierung von Sexarbeit ist keine Option. Aber auch Gesetze, die angeblich Schutz gewähren, stellen sich zumeist als Instrumente staatlicher Kontrolle heraus. Verzichten wir besser auf ein Gesetz? Oder wir schreiben unser eigenes. In dieser Workshop-Reihe entwickeln wir an fünf Abenden gemeinsam Visionen und übersetzen diese in Gesetzesform. Sexarbeitende nehmen den Stift selbst in die Hand, um der Politik auf die Sprünge zu helfen.

Criminalizing sex work is not an option. But even laws that supposedly provide protection usually turn out to be instruments of state control. Are we better without a law? Or write our own. In this series of workshops, we will spend five evenings developing visions together and translating them into a law. Sex workers will take the pen into their own hands to help politicians get their act together.

Dieses Jahr möchten wir gemeinsam mit der Zielgruppe der Sexarbeiter*innen Weihnachten feiern. Da wir im letzten Jahr eine sehr erfolgreiche Veranstaltung hatten, möchten wir das Konzept gerne wieder einsetzen, SMART Berlin wird die Räumlichkeiten zur Verfügung stellen und für das Essen sorgen. Gerne könnt ihr die Informationen an interessierte Menschen aus der Zielgruppe weitergeben.

This year we would like to celebrate Christmas together with the focus group of sex workers. Since we had a very successful event last year, we would like to use the concept again, SMART Berlin will provide the rooms and take care of the food. You are welcome to pass on the information to interested people from the target group of sex workers.

Die Idee: Einen Raum schaffen wo sich Menschen rund um das Thema Sexarbeit vernetzen, austauschen und diskutieren können, wobei die Teilnehmenden dazu eingeladen sind ihre eigenen Themen einzubringen. Wir hoffen so, einen regelmäßigen Austausch zu etablieren und auch mal Themen anzusprechen, die sonst oft unter den Tisch fallen. Manche kennen ähnliche Konzepte vielleicht unter dem Namen "Bar Camp", "Offene Versammlung" oder "Vollversammlung".

Das CoSo-Plenum findet jeden 2. Mittwoch im Monat statt - an geraden Monaten (Oktober, Dezember, Februar..) ist es nur für Sexarbeitende und an ungeraden Monaten (November, Januar, März,...) auch offen für Unterstützende, Beratungsstellen, Organisationen und alle Interessierten. Im Oktober wird es also nur für Sexarbeitende offen sein.

The idea is to create a space where people can network, exchange ideas and discuss all aspects of sex work, with participants invited to bring in their own topics. In this way, we hope to establish a regular dialogue and address topics that are otherwise often overlooked. Some may be familiar with similar concepts under the names "Bar Camp", "Open Assembly" or "General Assembly".

The CoSo plenum takes place every 2nd Wednesday of the month - on even months (February, April, June...) it is only for sex workers and on odd months (January, March, May, July...) it is also open to supporters, counselling centres, organisations and anyone else who is interested. So in August it will be a sex workers-only event.

The meeting is moderated and in German and English.
|

6.) 12.12. Neue Kooperation mit Tin*-Antigewaltberatung / New cooperation with Tin*AntiViolence Counselling
|
Eine neue Kooperation zwischen der TIN*-Antigewaltberatung der Schwulenberatung Berlin und SMART Berlin, einer Beratungsstelle für (cis und trans) männliche, nicht-binäre und trans femme Sexarbeitende. Ab November gibt es regelmäßig Beratungsangebote zum Umgang mit Gewalt bei SMART. Gerne weitersagen!

A new cooperation between the TIN*AntiViolence Counselling of Schwulenberatung Berlin and SMART Berlin, a counselling center for (cis and trans) male, non-binary and trans femme sex workers. From November onwards we will have regular counselling on dealing with violence at SMART Berlin. Feel free to share!

Die Leserunde für Sexarbeitende bietet eine Gelegenheit für sexarbeitende Personen, sich monatlich am 3. Dienstag des Monats zu treffen, um gemeinsam über ausgewählte Bücher oder Schriftstücke zu diskutieren. Ziel ist es, eine inklusive Umgebung zu schaffen, in der Meinungen ausgetauscht, Perspektiven geteilt und ein tieferes Verständnis für verschiedene Themen entwickelt werden kann. Gerne kann auch gemeinsam (vor)gelesen werden.

The Sex Workers' Reading Circle offers an opportunity for sex workers to meet monthly on the 3rd Tuesday of the month to discuss selected books or writings together. The aim is to create an inclusive environment in which opinions can be exchanged, perspectives shared and a deeper understanding of various topics developed. You are also welcome to read (aloud) together.
